summer school was worth it!!!

This summer I got an A in physiology and a B in microbiology!! I am so excited. Right now I feel like I can do anything I set my mind to. This is really going to help me get into nursing school. I really feel like I am going to be a nurse!!

I never used to get good grades. I just had to share my good news with people who understand.

Nursing school, here I come! (Sorry to be so cheesy!) :chuckle

It's normal to be this excited! I am a lot older than you...when you were born I was a Jr. in High school....and I am just as thrilled! I really can't believe I am going to be a nurse, I have only been thinking about it since about 1967!!!

I know, I looked at your profile....In 1974 I was in high school...imagine going back to school after being out for 25 years. It is fun now...hated it then!

Way to go Abby!!! :D

Good for you!

Congratulations!!! I totally agree with you. I had A&P 2 and Micro this summer. I took each one in seperate 5 week courses. I finished both with an A average. It does make you feel really good about yourself and ready to go:) Keep up the good work!

Congrats!!!!!!! I completely understand the feeling. I just started this summer on my prerequisites. I took Chemistry and Psychology. I graduated high school waaay back in 1976! I was overwhelmed by the chemistry and got used to being totally confused and frustrated at the end of each class. My husband told me that the worst that could happen is that I flunk the class and I'd just take it again and chemistry wouldn't seem so strange to me then. I don't know why, but him saying that to me took the pressure off me completely. I was so frustrated that I wasn't "getting" it like it seemed everyone else in the class was. Well, as it turned out, I did get it and a lot of the people that acted like they understood everything either didn't or didn't apply themselves that much to the class. I astonished myself by getting A's in both classes. I am signed up for 13 credits this fall and expect to be overwhelmed by it all at times, but I can hardly wait! Sometimes I think as an "older" student, we have the luxury of experience and it means so much to us to be able to go to school and LEARN!

Good luck to everyone!

Great job Abby! >pat pat pat

:D  :chuckle :)
