I just went for my orientation at school on Monday. We were asked if we were doing the 2 year or the 4 year program. The 2 year is Associates degree and the 4 year is the Bachelor's degree. What is the difference in these two? What is the difference in job duties and pay? I need to decide which way to go. Thanks for any advice.

ummm, this wasn't decided before you applied? 2-year asn-rn and 4-year bsn-rn the rn comes after sitting for boards of course. if i am not incorrect, there is not a big pay differrence, but with the bsn you can be in management easier than asn.

Some people get their 2 yr depending on what they want to do. Sometimes employers (Hospitals) will pay for the Bachelors. So it's really up to you as far as your long term goals and financial situation.

It might help to talk to someone in Career Services at your school or nursing advisor.
