Not a fan of nursing theory...am I going to be in trouble?
Hi everyone,
I'm taking two classes this summer: Pathophysiology and Nursing as a Profession (history of nursing, theory, etc.)
I love my pathphys book but I really dislike my second class. It is boring and redundant...I really dislike the theory. Why do I have to read 10 definititions of nursing? Why do I really care if nursing is considered a profession or not? I think part of the problem is that I am not responding to the instructor but mostly I just don't like the theory.
I'm in an accelerated BSN program, if I don't like the theory am I going to be doomed? Is it all going to be about theory?
