wrong vs really wrong !!

i take the NCLEX on Saturday :nailbiting:

My question is, if you do not choose the 'most correct' answer, but choose the next best, do you get any credit, than if you chose the worst possible answer ?? like if the answer was airway, but i chose the next best, fluid replacement would i get any credit over choosing the worst possible answer of 'reassess in 15 minutes'? does this make any sense????:(

No I don't think you get credit for answers that aren't perfect.

did you get partial credit during nursing school for choosing the next right answer?

My instructor told us that you get partial credit on select all's. She said one of her students had 50 select alls and the rest multiple choice. The students questions stopped at 75 questions and he passed. The student said he guessed on the select alls because he got overwhelmed and knew for a fact he didn't get them all right.

When we asked how she knew about the partial credit she just smiled and said she has friends in high places.
