Working 2 Jobs?

I recently graduated and am working a job in the CCU on nights 7a-7p full time. It's only 3 days, so I was wanting to get another job(part-time) to work as well.

Has anyone worked nights and had another job in the day? I know I would be able to if I was on days, but unfortunately the hospital wasn't hiring for days at the time.

Thank You!!

I have always worked more than one job but found it easier to stay closer to my schedule when I worked nights. My preference was an extra 3p-11p shift or two or an additional overnight. I rarely worked days because I really didn't like them and didn't want to screw up my sleep schedule. If you are thinking about switching to days and want to get your face out there in hopes of landing a job on a particular unit I would definitely do it. Good luck.

Don't try it. Just don't. It will screw up your life so bad you won't know what hit you if you are anything like me. Just get a second job with the same hours. It's really not worth it.

This is a recipe for serious burnout!

The nurse that I know that work 2 jobs usually work their 2nd gig on the same shift. And if it's an opposite shift it's usually PRN. Hard to go from days to night in the same week.
