Good morning guys! I’m trying to find out what a typical work schedule is like at a dialysis center is like? Fresenius or Davita? Is it 12-hour shifts, 8 hours? How many days?
Just passed the nclex and would love to start my career in dialysis.
Thank you all!!

It depends. Varies by clinic, location, days clinic is open, etc. I will say that clinics generally open very early morning, the rest is pretty dependent on the number of patients, etc. Good luck, it's a great, often overlooked niche in nursing!

Did you end up finding a job in dialysis? I started as a new grad RN this June, and even with the daily staffing drama (which really--is everywhere) I absolutely love it. My clinic is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from 4am-9(ish) pm. We do 12 hour shifts. I take the early morning shift, which is a hard adjustment at first, but totally worth it to be off by 430pm. I am not at either of the big 2--it is a smaller company. Anyway, hit me up if you have any questions! I think its a great field, I sincerely enjoy going to work every day.
