hi i just want to ask... do you know any tertiary hospitals in metro manila or in southern luzon that hires very fast or you get a quick reply to them without any payment because as far as i've contacted hospitals in metro manila(from famous to not so famous) they stop hiring or they'll tell that they are hiring but there is no response to your submitted resume...or there are some hospitals that if you want to be trained youll goin to pay as of now the largest training fee for a nurse to be trained is 10,000pesos for 3 mos...i'm just wondering where do the almost 40,000 rn/year go...

well, most of us are just staying at home, waiting to be hired. some are working at call centers and other places that have no connection to the medical field. i also tried applying in hospitals, known and unknown, private and public. i guess we just have to be patient and persistent in applying and looking for jobs..

its hard to find work as a nurse nowadays.
while waiting, why not read nursing materials for you to have an edge?
just be patient and don't forget to pray

yessss, hv patience and be persistent and also, it would be nice to have a continous education or masteral. hmmm, that is what i'm doing so i could still surround myself with nurses and could still feel that i'm still alive. whaaaaaaaaaa.... because it is quite depressing to just wait at home. grrrrrrrr

hi! I still don't have a reply from the hospitals that I applied with. It's really advantageous if you know someone in the hospital that will help you get hired. If you don't know someone, you have to be patient and wait for several years to get hired. I thought we are also experiencing shortage of nurses. I never thought this is really happening to all nurses in the Philippines!!!!! Hope retrogression will be lifted soon.

Im a filipina nurse here in US. I just migrated a year and a half ago from UK. I know that all of you are waiting for visas to start working here. I just like to encourage you to wait patiently kasi it's worth waiting for. I can say that in my 6 years in UK i enjoyed living and nursing there to the extent that I dont really care about my application here. I was about to buy out my contract and settle in UK but I guess God really wanted me to be in America. But not all things were made easy for me. It takes a lot of courage to decide to leave the Philippines. The comfort of being with your family and the security of being in your own birth land. It entails a lot of sacrifices and trials but i guess its how you look at things that makes all this sacrifices worth. I agree that america is a land of opportunity, answer to your dreams. some might negate this statement but its my personal opinion. im running out of time, need to check my patients. next time again. just keep on dreaming and keep your faith to HIM.
