Who is applying for Fall 2013?

The best resource to ask is a nursing program advisor about the application process at the schools you want to apply for and whether or not pre-requisites need to be completed prior to the submission of your application.

It varies from school to school. My school allows you to apply as long as you have completed or are enrolled in all prereqs at the time of submission. My other school choice, though, did not. They had to all be completed. So check with an advisor at your school to make sure. :)

I have the same issue. I can't apply for the 2013 school year even though I will be done with my pre-req's next Spring. I will have to wait a whole year. My plan is to take the CNA course, start working for some experience, and to pay the interest on my student loans. I am 41 tomorrow, and I really hate to have to wait, but I have to.

I'm applying to the same schools and from doing extensive research lately I've found that you must have all pre-reqs done for CSUEB, SDSU will let you have one in progress for the spring but you will not be allowed into the fall 2013 class, they will let you in to the spring 2014 (but you still must apply this fall, I just attended an informational meeting there yesterday).

I think CSULB allows 1 in progress, as well as SFSU. I would just go to all of their websites and read all of the fine print. I made myself an Excel sheet with all of the requirements and dates for all of the possible schools. I suggest doing something like this for yourself so that it's not too late and you've missed an important deadline or piece of info and it sets you back an entire year. It will take you all day to make it but it will make applying so much easier.

For sdsu if you have pre-reqs in progress during spring 2013 you can only apply for spring 2014. This means you apply to university for fall and also turn in your nursing packet by the deadlines..eventually you will find out (in JULY!!) If you got into SON and then the university will admit you . I just did that this year, I am currently doing my upper GE this fall semester and enter the SON in spring :)

I am applying to the Fall 2013 Nursing Program!!!! I have to take the Teas next month. The deadline for the application to the program is a date in January. The decisions are made in March or April. After this semester I will only have Micro with Lab left to take. Best of luck to you in your journey!!

I'm applying for Fall 2013 as well this January! I will have only my A&P II class to complete but for my program it isn't a pre-req, just recommend that its out of the way before the program starts :)

For pre-reqs, The schools I am applying to have a list of pre-reqs that have to be completed and then a list that can be in progress. I know at Sierra College and Columbia College, all the sciences are on the list that have to be completed prior to submitting the application. But every school varies..

I am applying next summer in May for the August 2013 class. I'm taking AP1 now, AP2 & Micro in the Spring, and Intro to Nursing in the summer. Praying I pass all them. I plan to take the TEAS in November or December. I still need to go over the study material first.

I want to take it kinda early because the school takes the best grade. If I dont do so good on the first try I can take it again before I apply.
