Hello everyone! I'm new on here and I just wanted to get some of your guys help.
I am applying to a BSN program, we had to take the TEAS and score at least a 75%
I took the TEAS exam twice and on both attempts I received the exact same overall score of 79.3% however the individual scores for the sections were different.
1st attempt
Reading; 76.6%
Math: 87.5%
Science: 85.1%
English & Language: 66.7%
2nd attempt
Reading: 83.0%
Math: 90.6%
Science: 74.5%
Both overall scores were 79.3%, but as you can see on my second attempt I improved in Reading and Math but my score in Science decreased. My question to you is which score do you think I should submit? The one with the highest score in science or the one with the highest score in reading and math. I am not sure which subject the nursing department looks most at and I am a little worried because it is super competitive.
I did pretty good in my pre req classes, on Anatomy, Microbiology, and Stats I received and A. On Physiology and Chemistry I received a B.
Thanks in advance!

I would submit the 1st attempt. The science portion is probably the most important part of the test.

I think the reading section will be fairly important to your school because it shows how well you will be able to do in nursing school. Yes, a science background is important. However, the reading section tells them that you will be able to comprehend and understand what you read - and this is the basis for all learning. The reading/english sections is a good predictor of how well you'll do in nursing school.
Now hopefully it won't matter which one you submit because most schools look at the overall score.

Have you called the school or made a meeting to ask them specifically? You may have to submit both. My school awards points based off of the overall score (only the first attempt is accepted) you got rather than focusing on one particular section over the other. This may be the case at your school as well. Either way, they may be able to clear things up for you the best.

You should check with your school. The school I applied last year has a minimum required scores in reading section in order to be eligible for applying. If there is a tie, it will use reading score to decide first.

I'll ditto to check with your school. Mine only takes the first attempt per application cycle.
