I need to take 2 of these 3 next semester: (plus an easy GE)
Physiology, 5 units
Intro to organic and biochemistry, 5 units
Microbiology, 4 units
What do you guys suggest?
I have heard that orgo/biochem helps with Physiology, is this true? I've also heard that Psyiology helps with micro. If so I would prefer to go with chem+phys because that will increase my point total by a tiny bit for nursing school. (the school I am applyign to goes directly off test scores and GPA) But if taking phys after chem helps a lot I'd definitely give up the small GPA boost to take the phys class with a better foundation.

I took Chem for Health w/ lab and microbiology w/lab. I don't know which is better than the other.

Chem should help with both Micro and Physio...so I don't think it'll matter too much which two you take together. However, most people at my school had a harder time with Physio than Micro, so it might be easier to take the chem with the Micro, and then have Physiology later, without another science class. But I doubt it'd make too much of a difference. :)

I would see what the prereqs are for the coorifices. At my college to get into physiology you have to have taken anatomy in order to get into anatomy you have to take general biol and general chem. Also with organic chem you have to take a general chem first (different from the one required for anatomy) and micro normally requires anatomy and physiology first.
I would suggest that if you are a new student or aren't use to taking two sciences together to only try one this semester. I did Anatomy and Physiology1 and Chem in one semester plus an easy general and it KILLED ME. I was a HORROR to live with because of the stress and the work.
Out of those I would start with the intro to bio and organic chem. It is really helpful to A&P to know the general biochemistry because it will come up in A&P and a lot of teachers just assume you know it so they half lecture it and fully test you on it.
Best of Luck

Micro is super fun, I think..
The intro to bio and organic chem is actually 2nd semester chem (1st semester at our school is intro to general chem) I'm also done with Anat
