When should I apply?

After taking two courses over the summer, I will only need microbiology in the fall. When should I apply for nursing school?

When does your school allow you to apply to the nursing program?

Hey mod90atv!

It's best to know what Nursing school you would like to attend and start reviewing their requirements for the program. Once you do that you'll have an idea as to

when you should apply.

Hope this helps

depending on the requirements of your program....

If you are able to apply before completing micro (the program I got accepted to allows you to apply with your final prereqs in progress...but you only get the points that would be allotted for a C in that class...if that makes sense)....If you are able to do that I would go ahead and apply...I figure you don't have anything to lose by applying and you may or may not get in with pre reqs in progress.....but why not try?

If you cannot apply with pre reqs in progress then check and see when the next application period for your school is and go for it!

2 summer courses will keep you busy. Do well in micro.

When is the question of what the program tells you what the requirements are. Do they state something like "all prereqs must be completed prior to applying or applicants can have one course in progress while applying but must be completed by a certain month, date". You need to know details like this to determine when you will apply. The programs should state this information somewhere, check their website and call.

Did you attend any information sessions for the programs you are considering? If this information was not presented there, you can usually find the application deadlines and other specific information on the websites for the schools.
