What's allowed and what isn't?

I'll be graduating from my nursing program in June this year and I always hear people say that LPNs can/can't do this/that because of their scope of practice. Is there something like a book where I can find out about the LPN/LVNs scope of practice because I never learned it in class. PLEASE HELP!!

It should be on your BON site. Hope that helps!

Your state's Board of Nursing.

Yes, check the Board of Nursing. I am in CA and I got my IV certification, so the gap between my scope and the RN scope is narrow. Also, once you start working your employer should have this info in a binder on the floor.

Good Luck.

Where did u get ur IV certification from?

I went on the CA board for LVN and looked up providers and called and picked one that was close and had dates that worked for me. My course was 4 days long from 8am until 6pm.
