The BLS guidelines are reviewed every five years, the guidelines are only updated if the research evidence is clear that changes will improve survival rates.

I think the importance or implication would be if the CPR was being performed correctly or even at all...hence the move for hands only CPR for bystanders. That what you're looking for, an opinion?
