Hello, I will be having my final examinations and I was researching about the IDEAL roles of each member in surgical team. Ive researched a lot of roles and I would like to confirm or criticize this since these are from different sources: Chief surgeon: - captain of the ship - primary decision maker - perform the required surgery - writes post op notes - secures wound dressing - initiates surgical count - surgical count discrepancy Assistant to surgeon: -assist in retraction - suturing - surgical field clearance - check blood loss Scrub nurse: - prepares surgical field and instrument - passes instruments to surgeon - paritipates in specimen collection - surgical count Do you think ive got the correct assignment of each? Or are there any interchanges between members?
