What does t.i.d stand for?

never mind- founf it- it means 3Xday

Ok this probably is a foolish question but I have no idea what t.i.d stands for. Can someone help me out? I need to know b/c I am doing a drug conversion problem. Does it mean twice a day?

actually, per page 1955 of taber's cyclopedic medical dictionary, 18th edition, published in 1997 by f.a. davis company, it means "ter in die (latin) for three times a day."

Can also appear as TDS which also means three times a day. Initials are latin.

BD Bis die --twice a day.

TID ter in die ---three times a day

QID quater in die--four times a day.

TDS ter die sumendus --three times a day

QDS quater die sumendus.--four times a day.
