I'm a pre-nursing student and starting a Dosage Calculations class soon. On the first day of class they give you a math test and if you don't pass you're out. Also have to get 100% on an arithmetic test in another similar type of class that I have to take at the same time. This way I can apply at two different schools for their LVN program. Because it's been 12 years since I've been in school does anyone know what math I'll be tested on so I can brush up for this test? One of the classes starts in 2 1/2 weeks.

I would guess multiplication and division of fractions and percentages and also rate questions (like the old "a train is traveling 300 miles at 60mph...") I think this rate stuff is important for doing IVs because as a nurse you will have to figure out how many drops per minute will give you the right number of mls per hour.
I'm sure there are sites with practice math questions for nurses. Why don't you google it and see what pops up?

well most pre-requisites for nursing programs are general/college level alegbra but i think that a higher alegbra or trig may help you, if you need it.
i did calculus and its helping me even though i dont do all of those equations though.
GOOD LUCK
