What math class would help with passing the lpn entrance exam

Published

i'm getting ready to register for fall classes. and i was thinking about a math and a reading class in hopes that it will help me to pass the lpn pre-entrance exam. i was just wondering in everyones opinion what kind of math class would help me to pass the lpn exam? and is there any other classes out there that would help?

Do you know what entrance exam you will be taking? Mostly they are all pretty much the same I think. You need to know algebra, fractions, decimals, ratio and proprtions and especially mertic conversions. You need to know that there are 12 inches in a foot, 3 feet in a yard, 16 oz. in a pound, 8 oz in a cup, 2 cps in a pint, and 2 pints in a quart and so on. Reading is alot of comprehension. Any reading course will help you speed up your reading and understand at the same time. Try reading leisure books this summer to work out your brain and speed up your reading. You literally have to exersise your mind and train it, like the body, to read faster and understand what you are reading. Good luck!

Look for the NET guide and study. This will give you a good idea of what to expect. The first reply on this column gives great advice. good luck! Remember with Comprehension and reading timing is everything. Most ppl fail bcoz of time, they dont COMPLETE. Ud rather guess answere that leave them blank.
