Hello Fellow School nurses! Today is my Birthday, yeah me! April 29!!! I want to get my own copier to copy immunizations. I have to share a large copier with teachers and another large copier with the registrar which can be difficult at times. I want something simple and inexpensive. I am willing to spend about $100 of my own money as the head nurse states she has no budget for it. Please tell me the one to get and I might be able to look on Ebay. Thanks in Advance! Getting ready to go out and eat with hubby bubby! :)

happy birthday! if you're just making one or 2 pages at a time, most 3 in 1 printer, copier, scanners are just fine. But i'll be honest in that i just use the big one.

I strongly do not think you should spend your own money on this. Please put out a call to the PTA, the local hospital auxilary, the local medical society, the local Rotary, Kiwanis etc.
I have a great printer that has a copier built in. It is a Dell Photo 924. The link to the newer models

We as school nurses already don't get compensated enough as a professional (I currently make less than many of the janitorial staff here!) so please reach out for a donation, ask the PTA they are often looking for worthy needs!
Good luck!

I use the big copier that everybody else uses. I kind of like having a reason to get out of the office.
I went through the PTA, directed me to Staples, Officemax and such. I called Staples and was told to go online to be put on the waiting list. I went online and it asked for IRS information so I stopped. Too much trouble for $100. I will look for a new or used one on Ebay. My aide and I will split the cost. This Surburan area has no local hospital or medical association. Seems like too much red tape to get an item quickly but thanks for the suggestions. I thought Staples was going to say, yeah come pick out a display model under $200. In my dreams!

Glolily, I went onto craigslist and found a Lexmark 5000 series 3-in-1 and I LOVE it. I bought it with my own money and it sits right beside my computer. I scan in all notes home and correspondence and I can make a quick copy if I need it. If I'm printing lots of pages or need more than a couple copies, I use the school machines in the room next to me. But I love having my own for everything else!
Just curious, if you do buy your own copier, will your school district's tech people provide support if there is a problem you can't fix?
I have to assume all responsibility for my 3-n-1. I buy my ink and everything on my own. I can use the school's paper though.
