2011 WCCCD Applicants

You do need to attend one of the information meetings. They require proof as part of the application so you'll have to make it work with your schedule. They might even have them on the weekends. They really answer any questions you could have about applying.

I got in with the Fall 2010 cohort so hopefully not much has changed. We don't have to take chemistry; the essays were about both "Why I Want to Be a Nurse" and "Where I See the Future of Nursing" which can be combined into one essay if you want; I doubt the point system has changed; and I believe you have to use certifiedbackground.com. I applied last year in Feb and have attended several information meetings before then and I am aware of the requirements for that time, but I'm wondering has there has been some changes for this year. I can use proof from the meetings I attended in the past.

I start this Jan. and the prereqs haven't changed (no chemistry)and the application process haven't changed much. The criminal background check has to be within 30 days of the application from certifiedbackground.com ($28.00). Also, the teas test registration is thru the nursing dept, you should give them a call.

I am hoping to apply to the nursing program for Spring 2012 but I am wondering if anyone knows off hand when the application deadline for spring semester usually is. I have to take A&P 2, so I was hoping to take it in the summer then apply immediately after so I don't have to wait for fall 2012. I know that I have to attend a nursing information meeting eventually but I am hoping to get an idea of if I can apply or not beforehand. Thank you!

Application deadlines last year were the end of Feb and June.

hey everyone my name is will and im new trying to get into the nursing program i've taken psy101 got a b in and winter semester im taking bio 155 to get me prepped to human A&P 1 &2 and micro biology any advice on professors and what material will I nees at the meeting i"ll appreciate guy's :)

Sorry i can't give any advice on instructors you should take for anatomy 1 & 2 because I took them at another school. I will advise you to get an A in all of your pre-reqs or you won't stand a chance to get accepted. You already have 1 B.....get A's in the rest!!!! The competition is so fierce so study hard and don't slack.
