Im a graduate nurse 06. Upon passing the moc bosrds I was informed I was unable to sit for boards. When I was in my 20's I had multiple duis!
BoN would not clear me to sit for testing. I loved being a cna , I loved studying and clinicals for lpn!
Iv even paased the entrance exam for the NpR . I NEVER HARMED ANYONE WHIL DRIVING! NO accidents. Just dumb driving as a stupid youn adult. my question is this is there some way that I can hire an attorney so I can practice nursing and go back to school and enjoy what I do helping others

Are you a US citizen? Where are you now?
Yes, I'm a citizen. I am currently in MO but will be relocating to MN this new year. Originally from the midwest.
Moved to nursing with a criminal history forum

What's your definition of "multiple DUI's"? It doesn't matter that you didn't harm anyone while doing such an incredibly moronic thing, the fact is you COULD have. I know of nurses who were able to sit for their NCLEX exam with one or two DUI convictions, but like I said, how many are in your past?
Very well aware of the" very moronic " choices 20 years ago! Seems you have no information to move forward in this inquiry. Thanks for you judgy insight but I was really looking forward to positive feedback. The point I made that no injuries occured was to inform the potential helpful people that no criminal convictions occured. Will lokk else where thanks for your insightful passionate reply that entirely did Not answer my question!
Unfortunately the BON doesn't look at no injuries but a history of DUI's

Contact your local BAR Association, ask for a referral to an attorney referral. Initial consultations are usually dirt cheap, and you can get some idea of what your options are.
and all BON are independent of each other. I wonder if you might not have better luck with MN for licensure.
Good luck.
Ohh.
Thanks though!
no further insight is needed from you
Thank you for a positive forward feedback!

From my understanding most state BON's are looking to see what has changed since your arrests and what you have done to change or better yourself. Like long term therapy and proof of accepting responsibility for your past mistakes. Good luck to you... I hope you don't have to pay for your mistakes forever.
