Wake Tech Fall 2017 start

Hi all! Just wondering who will be applying to the Wake Tech RN program in January, for the Fall 2017 start? I'm finishing up BIO168, BIO175, PSY241 and SOC210 this semester. If I can maintain all As, and get 12 points on my ATI TEAS, I'll have 161 points. Based on the last two classes' initial acceptance ranges, I feel like I'll be an alternate. :dead:

I haven't yet. I wanted to think someone said orientation would be before Easter, but I could be wrong about that. If so, I would think we would have our letters within the next couple of weeks.

I spoke to an advisor yesterday and she said the letters will go out in April. The orientation is May 8th this year - latter than the previous years. I ask about the point range but she said she was not sure. So we wait.................

Oh wow, that is much later than I was expecting. Glad to have an update though!

Wow! Thanks for the update. If the letters don't go out until April, that is latter than usual. I wonder if that means they had a large number of applications to go through?

Anyone heard anything? The wait in killing me. Maybe how many people applied or anything

I haven't heard anything except what rich3 posted above. "Mar 7 by rich3I spoke to an advisor yesterday and she said the letters will go out in April. Hmmm so they have changed things huh because last I heard letters were going out by the end of march :(

The advisor did not mention a total number of applicants, just that it takes them a while to review all to make sure they are complete with necessary transcripts (those who are transferring into Wake Tech). She explained that once they complete the process they create a spreadsheet with total points and send over to the nursing department. The letters come directly from the nursing department. I spoke with her on Monday and at that time they had not sent a list of names and points to the nursing department. She did not give me an exact time frame in April - just sometime in April.

Thanks for the update. This waiting is so hard and getting any information helps.

So, I just went into Webadvisor, and saw that my registration window for Fall 2017 opens on April 10. I hope we hear something by then, so we can start planning our Plan B for next semester, if we don't get into the nursing program for this round. I don't want to make plans yet, but want to be prepared, just in case. After this semester, I will have all of my required pre-reqs and don't know what I'll do if I have a whole semester to wait. I guess I would just work some overtime, and hopefully that would cover my student loan payments, since they'll start coming due if I'm not taking classes.

Yes, I am hoping that the letters will go out sooner rather than later. I am sure they have a lot of students asking, especially if they have to register from classes soon.
