Wake Tech Fall 2017 start

Hi all! Just wondering who will be applying to the Wake Tech RN program in January, for the Fall 2017 start? I'm finishing up BIO168, BIO175, PSY241 and SOC210 this semester. If I can maintain all As, and get 12 points on my ATI TEAS, I'll have 161 points. Based on the last two classes' initial acceptance ranges, I feel like I'll be an alternate. :dead:

Hello, hope you all are having a nice Easter! Hopefully I and everyone else who's still waiting receives some kind of news by tomorrow. To Mrslaflin and NUCUnurse, do you both live in the Cary area as well?

Hello,

To those of you who have been accepted, do they also send you an e-mail about acceptance (or orientation)? I have my old apartment's address still listed on my student account and they have stopped forwarding mail.

I received my acceptance letter Friday and I live in Cary. Didn't receive any emails or anything of that sort.

I live near Greensboro. So, that's even farther away.

I didn't receive any email either. I would contact the advising dept ASAP and let them know about your address situation. Maybe they can put you in touch with someone from the nursing dept.

Congratulations, shadowtale! What were your total points when you applied?

I just looked in WebAdvisor, at "My Profile" under the Academics and Registration menu, and my academic program is still showing "Pre-Nursing." Maybe it's different for the LPN-RN students, but I guess they don't change your program until they verify that you've accepted. So, don't freak out if yours hasn't changed...doesn't mean that you haven't been accepted.

I have 192 total points, if I'm adding correctly. The only class I didn't take yet was micro and got a 97 on TEAS. But I'm likely going to go to DTCC because of several factors. Hope one of you gets my seat if I go that route! :)

I just emailed them regarding a similar issue. i changed my address via the back board website just days before i submitted my application. i still haven't received a letter so I'm hoping they email back soon.

Anyone receive letters today? Was today a PO holiday?

Nothing today either :( I don't think it was a post office holiday though, I didn't even think of that. But I am second guessing everything now! I even recalculated my points during my lunch break today, and the only thing I might have misinterpreted were my points for ENG112. Long looong story but a lot of things happened the semester I took it and I ended the class with a D. My worst and only grade lower than a B, at least as far as any of the prerequisites.

Anyway, I ended up taking ENG114 last semester instead to make up for it, as I was told by three different advisors that it could take the place of 112 and I made an A. But no one could tell me if because it was technically a different course the usual 5 point deduction rules would apply for the original grade since it was meant to take its place. So if it did I may have applied with five points shyer at 157 points and not 162. I know that was probably confusing but hopefully someone gets it and maybe has some kind of answer or insight for me?

Either way, I have been up and down and over every part of my application a dozen times and that's still the only possible reason I could come up with for not getting immediately accepted. Which unless our mail around here really is just that delayed I'm starting to think I wasn't. But I still am confident I'll be an alternate even if I am those five points behind. It's possible they send out the acceptance and alternate letters at separate times. Who knows:o

I really think they need to come up with and work out a better system for the following semesters. Relying on "snail mail" alone just leaves too much room for human error
