Sep 20, 201411 yr I know the local CC has like a 2yr wait-list for the RN program. But do you think there will be a wait-list for the LPN program? Is there usually one?
Sep 20, 201411 yr Depends on the area. There is a short wait list in the local county LPN program but nearly all are accepted before classes start. The program runs Sept to July only full time days with rolling admissions. So the big wait is if you apply in July or August the start is not until a September of the following year.
Sep 20, 201411 yr Author Oh ok. Ill have to look closer at our local CC. It takes forever to get anyone to reply to an email. :)
Sep 22, 201411 yr Actually they just updated their new application packet to state that now most people who apply will wait 2 semesters. Blech.
Sep 23, 201411 yr I am still on a wait list for a local community college's RN program, but have applied, been accepted to, and started an LPN program. So I am hoping to apply for LPN-RN in the winter of 2016 (I need a certain amount of hours as an LPN before starting the advanced standing program). I would go apply to both and go with whichever accepts you first. Best wishes.
