Ok, So I recently sent in my $75 reapplication fee, and usually I'll get a big packet on how to sign up to retake the NCLEx again! But this time I didn't! So I called the BRN, theguy that i talked to said that the paperwork will be sent out in a couple weeks! He also said that I was able to take the test after 45 days! I thought that in CA, you had to wait 91 days! Did this change recently? Or am I the only one that doesnt know about this?

Hey M3,
The new rule just started in Jan. 2006. You only have to wait 45 days in California now, but the passing standard has been raised and something like 3% more test takers won't pass....don't quote me on that statistic. The standard was raised because safety issues have been a big concern.

is that just for the State of CA?
The 91 to 45 day rule is just for the state of Ca.

Take a review course. Sally Laugerquist was expensive but worth it! We had an RN fail twice but passed after Sally's course. He's an excellent RN by the way, was just approaching the test wrong.
no I meant the increase in the passign standard.

The passing standard is for the US, CA doesn't get the exam, only that you passed or didn't pass. There are no individual scores given to anyone.
