Average time for Ca to give approval is 4-6 months as long as there are no problems with your paperwork.
Would also suggest you have a read on California in this forum as there are issues due to retrogression that you need to be aware of as you are looking at a few years to move to the US and Ca will not issue you with a license until you provide them with a SSN which you can not get until in the US with a valid work permit.

There is no maximum time, but as mentioned above, the usual wait is four to six months to get approval from the BRN. And they are not the ones that issue the ATT, that is done by Pearson-Vue.
And please be very aware that you will be waiting one month to get your results, and it will not be in the form of a license with a number; so you will not be considered a US licensed nurse even if you pass the exam.
And that the passing letter is only valid for three years, meaning that your file will be destroyed after that time if you are unable to present a SSN# to them.
Suggest that you spend some time reading other threads about this here.
Hi!Im just a bit confused regarding my application, because when I tried to send an email to the california board of nursing, I can't get in through their web email add.
thanking you so much

Not sure why you are trying to even contact them at this time, the expected wait time to get approval to sit for the exam is four to six months.
For each and every call that they get, as well as e-mails, then it slows down the processing of your application as well as those of others. there has also been an increase in the number of applications that they have received.
Suggest that you just remain patient at this time, and again, the average wait is four to six months, so being able to write the exam in April may not be possible.
hi!how true is it that the board of nursing in Massachussets for the NCLEX application is very quick and that it will take only for a matter of one month.Pls reply. Thanks a lot.

If you apply to another state you have to start the process all over again and they may require CES before even looking at your application and that can take months. Even if you go through the process and find an employer you will eventually be affected by retrogression and join the long queue with many others. You have already applied with Ca and it has only been a couple of months so may as well wait a couple more months and revise.

Definitely agree with Anna. And even if MA is rather quick, it will end up being almost the same if you apply to them now and you being at least half-way with CA's usual processing time already. Stay with the course rather than begin another route by scratch.
If this were NY, you may consider what you are thinking since the processing time for NY from CGFNS' CVS all the way to review by NYSED can be notoriously long at times but this is CA BRN and they already indicated a 4-6 months processing time from the start, so all those applying to them know exactly how long they take.
