wait time to take NCLEX second time

I will be graduating in May! I was wondering how long one has to wait after failing the NCLEX to retake the exam?

I also am graduating in may. Here in Ky. you have to wait 45 days before you can retest. Need to think positive though you are going to pass first time :coollook:

I am thinking positively. I believe I will pass the first time. I was wondering because I was told you had to wait 3 months, but I knew a girl who had failed multiple times and I thought she told me the wait time had been shortened.

Depends on the state, some are 45 days, California is 91 days.

Actually, my understanding was that no matter where you are, it's a minimum of 45 days. My instructor said it takes at least 60, usually. We just had a lecture yesterday where we went over the NCLEX information book provided by NCSBN. -Andrea
