Visascreen renewal

Hi! Does anyone know how long it takes for renewal of visascreen certificate? I have completed all the documents needed forthe renewal 2 months ago but until now there are no updates from CGFNS. My visascreen certificate is expiringthis April 23. I kept on monitoring the status of my application on their website but it is not updated.

I was wondering how long it takes them to review renewal applications.

VSC are good for five years. You started the process that long ago?

It takes several months for them to process it. It is not immediate and they need to check out your credentials again. Requirement of US immigration.

Did you have to resumbit all of the requirements again or do they keep those on file? I imagine with the length of time the greencard application takes these days that many people will have to renew visascreen before the process is complete. I thought 5 years would be good but mine will expire in 3 years and am not convinced that is enough time.

English exams need to be redone first of all if they were required. If you did your basic nursing training in the US, then they are exempt for you.

As far as I know, all has to be resubmitted, have not known CGFNS to keep a file active for that length of time. Even when the CGFNS exam was required, one only had two years to get the exam passed and also the English exam submitted to be able to get the CGFNS Certificate, or they started over again.

Many things can change in the course of five years and they need the latest information, not all licenses are current and there may be additional training that was done in many cases.
