Visa screen QUESTION

Hi all

I just passed my NCLEX exam last saturday(Thx god),and I want to know if thier is any link between the cgfns(visa screen)and the nursing board??and how can CGFNS know that I passed my board??

I have an visa screen application with the CGFNS and just waiting for them to know about my new status in order to issue me my certificate.

If anyone can help I will be thankfull.

N'B:I called the CGFNS and they told e that I must download something called the verification of certification letter from thier site and sent it to the NJ nursing board,but i didn't find this letter,and i addition I don't have any license in NJ coz i am foreign nurse and my license is pending untill i got a sponsor.

If you download the VS Handbook the form is there that you need to complete and send to BON plus any fees. Info should be on their website (NJ BON). If you do not need SSN for NJ then you will have a license issued, not heard of it being pending until you find a petitioner. Some states will not issue without a SSN but that you will not get until in the US with a valid work visa

It is a form in the VS handbook think it is page 18. You may need to get in touch with NJ regarding fees

silverdragon is right. you first have to download the visascreen handbook found in cgfns.org

and then fill it up accordingly. you will need to have your local license verified by the government (the form can be found in that handbook). your academic records need to be evaluated as well (the form, again, is in that handbook). also, your nclex result should also be verified. you can do this by forwarding a verification form (again in that VSC handbook) together with a letter and a $60 bankdraft as processing fee.

pretty much all you have to do is read the handbook and you're set to go.
