You need it before your interview which could be several years (depending on type of visa)

thanks :)

also, i would like to ask the difference between visa screen and ces.... i already passed ca nclex-rn... will i still need ces? or is ces needed for visa screen application? im confused. pls enlighten me.

CES is different to vsc. CES is a evaluation of your training. SC just states that you meet immigration requirements. If state requires CES then you need to get it done regardless on meeting Ca requirements when going to another state you still have to meet requirements. I had to get CES done for Az even though I had a NY license
