Villanova 2022

Just wondering if anyone applied for Villanova DNP/CRNA program to start 2022 and has heard back about interviewing?

@Knockoutqueen You’re taking physical assessment in the fall? I didn’t know that was an option. When I email the registration lady she said that I had to take physical assessment in 2022 Summer.

Oops. I meant patho, not physical assessment. That’s next Summer

Are you guys excited to begin? I’m pretty nervous because I’ve been out of school for 4 years I hope I can still write papers!

Hi all,

I was just wondering if anyone had any idea about the books we were required to read prior to matriculation. I remember this was discussed briefly during my interview but I have not heard anything else about it and I start in January. Do we have to have them all read prior to starting?

I don’t remember being required to read any books prior to matriculation and I definitely don’t remember the interviewers saying anything about this. I think the package that you were given after the interview mentioned something about books?

Yes! The packet has a page that mentions it and has review dates on the top. they did also mention it briefly in the interview. It seems a little excessive but I wasn’t sure. That’s why I decided to see if anyone else knew anything about it.

Oh yea I see what you mean it says read chapters 5-13 in that book. I guess that’s to prep us for the classes that start in January?

Does anyone know what you use for the online learning classes? Do you use blackboard or canvas? How do you know what textbooks you need?

Does anyone have an idea about how hard the Nursing Research test is?

Hi everyone!  I’m in the 2023 cohort, but registered for nursing research starting the fall online. Could anyone tell me how to find the textbooks (if we need any) listed?

Harder than I thought it would be. I didn’t study much because I was like, “oh it’s open book it’ll be good!” And basicallY bombed it LOL. But did well on the papers so I got a decent grade in the class. Take my advice and study.

Hi! Was hoping someone could elaborate on how time consuming nursing research is??? Currently travel nursing and signed my next contract. Wondering if 48hrs would be too much and just settle for 36hrs a week to focus on the class. Any info would help! Thanks!

is it mostly content from her powerpoints or do you need to read the textbook? Also how strict is she grading those papers
