  1. Hi! Was hoping someone could elaborate on how time consuming nursing research is??? Currently travel nursing and signed my next contract. Wondering if 48hrs would be too much and just settle for 36hrs a week to focus on the class. Any info would help! Thanks!
  2. Hi everyone! I’m in the 2023 cohort, but registered for nursing research starting the fall online. Could anyone tell me how to find the textbooks (if we need any) listed?
  3. I’m starting my contract beginning of March. I just enjoyed speaking with a recruiter that you mesh with. They explain things to you regarding the contract and help you find a good contract. With some recruiters I felt as if I was only a number. I’m sure they have plenty of clients they are working with but it just seems very dry. I would prefer someone who cares, remembers my preferences, and doesn’t just throw me into random contract submissions just so they “get paid”. They’re also your main contact if you have issues with your facility like scheduling, pay, and finding your next contract while at your current one.
  4. Very informative! Thank you so much. Makes a lot more sense. I appreciate it.
  5. Hi. I’m looking into starting travel nursing. I submitted to AMN and FlexCare. I received an offer from a hospital with AMN (over two weeks later) seems very unpersonal/not responsive. My FlexCare recruiter seems great and responsive and submitted me to the same hospital. Do I reject AMN and wait for an offer from FlexCare? Or do I take what I can get with AMN for my first assignment and just keep FlexCare for my next? I’m not good at working through this stuff.
  6. Just got an email from Villanova that my check was received and confirmed my seat has been reserved. But check has not been deposited from my account yet.
  7. Just curious...did you express interest in 2022 and get bumped from 2023? Or did they reach out to you randomly?
  8. My check hasn’t been deposited yet either. My orientation for 2023 is scheduled is virtual but says august 2021 which seems way too early so I’m wondering if my date is also incorrect. it also said to contact them in late July 2021 to register for classes I want to take prior to 2023. I’m planning on working full time during that time since it will be about 1 class a semester if everything works out with timing before I start. As for the hybrid and working during the cohort, they did say at the info session on interview day that we technically do not need to relocate back to the area until august following our start in January because a major of the classes at that time are online and manageable working at least part time which is nice
  9. I believe so. As long as there is enough time to offer, they will try to fill all the spots prior to matriculation. I was hoping for that too since I’m 2023 right now. Distance learning is just the online (not in person) classes they offer prior to starting your cohort. And they also mentioned some classes will be online when you start in January as well.
  10. Hey everyone! May be a silly question, but regarding the seat deposit and confirmation letter.... is there anything official we should be expecting in the mail to send back with a signature to officially accept our seat? Or did everyone send out their own acceptance letter with their deposit?
  11. Congrats! I got my acceptance letter today as well! Are you all the 2023 cohort?!
  12. Congrats! I also interviewed this past early December! Haven’t heard anything yet....nerve wracking ?
