Just a very quick question for any of you who have taken and passed your NCLEX the first time around. I just accepted a job offer at a hospital as a new grad nurse and will be taking my NCLEX sometime around mid June. I really don't have enough money to pay for any study products except for UWORLD which I have currently. My question is, is UWORLD alone enough to be able to study and pass the NCLEX on the first attempt? Thank you to anyone who can help me answer this question.

I wouldn't do it alone. I used Uworld and the Hurst vids, and those Saunders books. Passed on first try. Th Uworld helps with building your question answering strategy but content knowledge is what is needed to pass.
How much do the actual Hurst Videos cost though? I can't really afford much more.

UWORLD is def enough, I had both UWORLD & Kaplan and ended up regreting the Kaplan because I only did their trainers not their qbank. The way Uworld was formatted I feel like it prepared me best, when I sat for the nclex I felt like I was taking a UWORLD exam
MamiLuv, thank you so much!!!
Kl1528sd, thanks for letting me know. How did you do on the NCLEX, how many questions did you pass in?
Hey, I took it end of April... I got all 265 questions and passed first try

I'm taking NCLEX hopefully in June (haven't received my ATT yet). But have you checked your local library for NCLEX resources? If you already have Uworld, maybe see if your library has Saunders (or a book similar to Saunders).

I am taking my NCLEX soon as well - also waiting on the slow ATT. I did extensive reviews on U World and am currently using it now. From what I read, yes, you can pass on U World alone. But you must review the rationales thoroughly. I did a local NCLEX review, he basically teaches you principles to remember things in order to answer any question, and am using U World for practice questions. I am feeling pretty good about NCLEX and still have 600 U World questions to go.
