UTMB Spring 2018

I am applying for Summer 2018 and currently need help on writing a personal statement. Do you mind sharing what services you used to help you? thanks!

I didn't really use any services just wrote it, let friends of mine read over it, then a prior English teacher of mine saw my last copy before i ultimately fixed what he corrected on it. write from the heart that's about all i can say and don't cheat yourself by paying someone to write it because i'm sure they can figure out whats genuine and whats not. Good luck, took me about 2 1/2 weeks to have finalized my paper after i finished writing it in 5 days

I'm so nervous about hearing back! I literally find myself checking mystar every couple hours. I hope I'm not the only one out there that feels like their heads going to explode.

So after reading all these comments I also thought it would be helpful not just to me but maybe others as well to join. anyone considering applying for the summer 2018? I just considered transfering out and I believe the spring is a bit too late to apply...correct?

yes too late for Spring but i am also applying for the summer just in case i dont get accepted in the spring

Won't be till at least next Monday at the earliest before any of us hear anything..Whats got you confused?

I understand will be mid to late july before we hear anything is what I've been told since june 1st. I think we all just should have the green completed dot at this time according to utmb as well in mystar.

I'm anxious as well. I'm hoping we hear something closer to mid July rather than the end of July.

I emailed Elizabeth Botello yesterday with regards to the reviewing process for Spring 2018 applicants. She said that they are just beginning the process of reviewing applications and it will be 6-8 weeks (could be sooner). Even though I knew this information, hearing back from her so quickly via email did help calm me down a little hahah, but I do think they are a bit behind schedule from previous threads, (those threads had started interviewing right after the deadline had passed). Hopefully we can now really expect to hear something back in the next coming weeks/month.

I just want to make sure I am understanding this... It is going to be another 6-8 weeks before we hear anything about interviews? Not next week?
