UTMB Spring 2013

Hi everyone. I just got an email from UTMB saying I have been accepted and should receive my official letter in the mail within a few days. :) I just wanted to share my excitement. I have already accepted on mystar and can't wait to join the facebook group. :) Good luck to everyone...it's gonna be an exciting 2-3 weeks as the class forms.

congrats!!! if you dont mind me asking what are your stats and what time did they email you? im freaking out over the wait lol!!

Happy for you! This wait is literally killing me!!!

I don't mind at all! I was too. They emailed about an hour ago. My science GPA is a 3.5, overall GPA 3.8 and I have never retaken a course, only 3 drops and TEAS V was a 92.8. Hope this helps.

WAIT!!! there IS a group! A really good group with actual UTMB reps. I can't post the name here though. but search for it on fb. We are the class of 2014!

Is it just the general class of 2014 or is there one for the BSN program? I can't find it...

Thanks to everyone for keeping us updated on your status. It really helps! Does anyone understand their selection process? Seems as though they are doing it in rounds...

Yes, I think they are. When I called on Monday the lady said it could be 2-3 more weeks and when she explained the review process she made it sound like they are reviewed in rounds. Like she said enrollment services has to verify everything then when they do they send it over in groups as they finish so the committee gets them in groups I guess. The order doesn't necessarily have anything to do with your stats but how quickly your info gets verified and sent by nursingCAS then from enrollment services to them. That's how I took it anyway. Does anyone know how many they are accepting? 110?

No idea but I remember seeing the number of applicants on my teas report (taken about 2 weeks before the deadline) it said 860 for our cohort. I am so nervous and stressed, and looking at all the awesome scores from people being accepted is making me lose hope.

860...woah! I didn't see that cause I took mine at SFA and then had it sent over. BUT don't lose hope...I think I read online that they accept about 110 but I can't remember if that's Fall or Spring. What was your TEAS score?
