Aug 10, 201015 yr I'm applying to the bsn program for utmb for spring 2011. I know interviews are going to start soon but I was wondering if anyone knew what a typical class schedule would be like? I'm pregnant and due in November so I'm trying to figure out daycare and class schedules and my husbands work schedule. Anyone out there in the program that knows a typical schedule for the traditional bsn program? Thanks! Also, what were yalls typical test scores for the teas?
Aug 18, 201015 yr Author A few days ago, I was informed that they are in the last state of reviewing application. Those whose TEAS scores have not been received will be sent an email and given a deadline. I suggest you call in and make sure everything is in again. Get the name of the person you are speaking to, just in case. You should hear back from the school end of August, early September.Good luck!
Aug 18, 201015 yr Author Are you also applying to UT Houston? If so, how did you do on the HESI Exam....I am currently studying for it and plan to take it on Aug 20...I am little overwhelmed because I am reading 3 books....What book did you use to study for the HESI...Thank you in advance for the info...Where did you go to take the HESI??
Aug 18, 201015 yr That is good to hear. does anyone know how many applicants they have recieved for the Spring?
Aug 18, 201015 yr Where did you go to take the HESI??I decided not to take the HESI on August 20th because I don't feel prepared. However, when I do decide to take the exam it will be at the Harwin location in Houston, Tx.
Aug 20, 201015 yr good morning everyone,i spoke with the son this morning and was informed that they received roughly 300 applications and will only be accepting 80 students for the traditional bsn program. i was also told that it will not be until mid-september when we find out whether or not we will be interviewed. we will also be finding out by email so make sure that the email address you have listed under econnect is the one that you use most often. i hope this is help to someone. i know it definitely put my mind a little more at ease.

Aug 23, 201015 yr I really hope we all are one of those "80" people to get into the nursing program :)
Aug 23, 201015 yr Hey yall! I am an incoming student to UTMB School of Nursing for the Fall of 2010. We just finished our orientation, so if yall have any questions about the application process or anything than you can ask me. I know someone asked what the class schedule was like. Our first semester we have 16 hours. On Monday we have one class from 1:00-5:00; Tuesday we have two classes, one from 9:00-12:00 and another from 1:00-3:00; Wednesday, there is one class from 9:00-12:00. We don't know our clinical or lab schedule yet, but those will take place on Thursday, Friday or Saturday. As far as how many students will be admitted.... who knows?! Every time someone from our group called up there, they always received a different response. I think we heard anywhere from 80 to 100 and on the first day of orientation they announced that 117(!) student were admitted to the traditional BSN program. They said that was there biggest class ever.
Quota for this semester is 100.
