It is possible to get in without an interview.

Has anyone received the acceptance letter yet please? I had my interview on February 13: was that the first or the second round? Does getting an interview invites in the first round mean you have a better chance of getting accepted into the program?

It usually takes 2 weeks to hear a response. Also, keep in mind that this week is spring break and the committee isn't working.

All of the staff are working during spring break, they said they are interviewing a lot of people during spring break that's why. Plus school is in session for the medical students

Can anyone who has had their interview give me any insight on how it went, and what to expect?

Know facts about the school! they may ask you: so what do you know about utmb?

No reason was given, just says that they have a competitive program, but I know it was because my overall GPA isn't great. Although I explained that in my personal statement. Worst mistake I made was not dropping my courses after I experienced a death in my immediate family. Just stopped going

What's new with y'all?

I'm still waiting for an interview...hoping to hear back this week or next! I'm just tired of the waiting game. Luckily the other schools I applied to will release their admissions decisions next Tuesday, so at least I'll know something. I'm just afraid that I won't have enough time to make a decision if UTMB puts me on the waitlist and doesn't accept or deny me before the acceptance deadline at other schools.
