UTMB Fall 2012

HI! I am applying for the traditional BSN program at UTMB that starts Fall 2012. I am taking my TEAS this friday and I wanted to know if anyone else here is applying for the same semester. Hopefully there are others so I don't have to be nervous alone!! :D

Sammantha_384,I'm sorry UTMB did not work out for you. Don't give up on your dreams! Did you apply anywhere else?

I am SO sorry to hear that you received a rejection letter. Did you apply to any other school? Or just UTMB? I know it is upsetting, but remember that everything happens for reasons that we may not know of.

@Amy- I was there Tuesday at 2. Were you one of the ladies I was talking to?

@Samantha- I am so sorry to hear that. Do you remember your interviewer's name? You could probably contact that to get feedback now that you've gotten an answer from enrollment services. I asked mine if they would allow me to do that if it turned out I didn't get accepted, and they said they would be happy to. I'm hoping another school makes a different decision for you!

@rmegster, probably! I interviewed with a lady with a purple sweater/jacket (I know her name but can use it here!) Did you interview with the same one? If so, I'm pretty sure I know who you are! I had a really good interview! I'm getting more excited!

I had an interview on Wed, 7. I havent heard anything back yet. I am so worried that I would get rejected. For those who were already accepted, how many outstanding credits u guys have left? And is that considered an early admission? I have 16 credits to finish, and I am taking all of them this semeter. I am so nervous now that I havent heard anything from UTMB

If I get rejection from UTMB, can I still reapply for another semester?

Hoping they might send out emails to "second rounders" today instead of putting us through the weekend! And @silentnight133, yes you can reapply, and from what I hear people usually have better luck the second time around.

Silentnight133 - yes you can reapply, but if your not accepted the first time they say you should find out why you were not accepted in the first place. Something tells me we won't hear anything until next week some time at the earliest.

Silentnight133- My interviewer said the committee will meet on Monday and decide on the interviews from this past week. They met this last Monday about round 1 and emails were sent out on Tuesday. Hope this week is the same!!!

Hey guys!!! So happy to share that I received an early admission email on Tuesday!! I was really starting to stress, as I kept reading about everyone starting to interview and I hadn't heard anything. Just kept telling myself to be patient and things will fall into place. Kind of relieved I don't have to interview, because that would have made me start stressing more and would have taken my anxieties to the next level! Congratulations to those that already know and best wishes to everyone else!

Hey EVERYONE - I was thinking that we should put together a list of everyone on here who applied with their GPA, TEAS scores, how many hours they have left to complete our 60 hours. Then for those that have gotten early admits, or interviewed, or has interviewed then heard back, we put that information in as well. It would make things significantly easier for future UTMB applicants to see everything without having to go through ALL the pages of this post..... What do y'all think???

You could do that, but I don't think it will really be that helpful. UTMB looks at so much more than numbers, and what they accept largely depends on the applicant pool. So while someone with a 3.2 may be accepted this semester, next semester the minimum may be 3.6 with a minimum TEAS of 88.6.

I know that the school looks at all of the above and then some. And unfortunately there is no way to determine what is used to accept their applicants. But I know that even though our "stats" aren't the only thing they look at, I sure tried seeing what those accepted into the program looked like. So I am positive that future applicants will do exactly like we did ;) Not to mention it will be SOO assitive if we had a list that will help us keep an up to date on everyone on here. I cannot constantly remember who has been accepted, denied, interviewed, etc......
