UTHSCSA-Fall 2011

Hi All,

Since January 10th was the application deadline, do any of you have an idea as to when the earliest when we will hear from UTHSC-San Antonio? I already have my bachelor's degree in a non-nursing subject but I opted for the 2-year traditional route because the accelerated program just seemed too intense. Are there other 2nd degree folks out there applying to the 2 year program as well? Good luck to you all! I hope we are all there in the Fall!

I got the email too! I wish it was the TEAS invite : )

Im so nervous!

I got the email too!! I can't wait until Feb. 7. Still deciding whether or not to retake the TEAS...

same here.. my stomach is in knots!! Im still nervous about that transcript getting there on time.. guess I'll find out on Monday!! Good luck everyone.. hope we all get invites!

Me too! Me too! I can't wait until the 7th, but then again I already took the TEAS. I just need to forward the results...then more wait until the 25th of March. Oh how I wish it could get here.

Anyway...I have a friend that got into the May 2011 Accelerated, and he got an acceptance days after he took the TEAS. I wonder how that happened?

@bananamtz: i took the TEAS already too and have to forward the results IF uthscsa tells me to. i hope i get the invite!!! just wondering, is there anyone else who still needs to get CPR certification and take CNA training classes? i still have to do those....

Hello everybody, I just found this thread and I am also applying for the Fall 2011. I just got my e-mail about when the TEAS invites are going out. I hope I get the invite and good luck to all of you!

@Ashley1111--We have to have CNA training?! I didn't know that. I knew about the immunizations and CPR--which I still need the CPR. I was thinking about CNA classes but for my own experience--I didn't know we NEEDED them. I think the CNA training would include CPR. Where are you? I know several places that do the CNA training.

^^^Sorry that up there was at asian. :D

@bananamtz: i'm not sure if CNA training is required at uthscsa, but i know it is at texas a&m nursing school. sooo i kind of assumed it was the same for all the other nursing schools. i was going to take CNA training whether it was necessary or not just for experience too. where r the CNA training programs that u know of?

I looked up the CNA programs in Texas through the department of the aging and disabled. The have information for all of the accredited programs. If you are in the Austin area they have one that is 350 at D. Diamond, and right at 400 through ACC.

Did anyone recieve another email with a transcript evaluation?
