UTA Spring 2020

Hi everyone! I figured I'd start a thread for UT Arlington's BSN Spring 2020 applicants!

First off let me start by sharing a few things:

- UTA nursing school acceptance is based off a composite system that consists of your SCIENCE GPA (Anatomy & Phys 1, Anatomy & Phys 2, Microbiology, Chemistry), OVERALL GPA, and Considerations. ?‍?

- also, TEAS scores don't affect your acceptance into the nursing program, unless you don't meet their requirements of course. ? I'm taking mine this Friday so I'll let y'all know how that goes..

also side note: Considerations depend on wether you're applying to the online or on campus. We can only apply to either or..

As of right now, I have 3 considerations:

- military veteran

- 30 hours at UTA

- 3 out of 4 sciences at UTA

I won't know my official science GPA or overall GPA until after this semester ends....

Hi Everyone, I am also planning on applying to UTA's BSN on campus nursing program for spring 2020. So far....

My overall GPA: 3.770

Science GPA: 4.0

total points: 7.770

No consideration :( :(

Also I took all my pre-reqs at a community college so I don't know if that affects me or not. What do you guys think my chances are of getting in?

Heyloooo! I've already applied so now I'm waiting until October...I applied for AO BSN but heard it's extremely competitive...I'm not partnered either and I hear those that are get priority. ? I also don't know if I should reconsider applying for campus because it's less competitive but I hate looking for parking at UTA....lol

Science GPA: 4.0
Overall GPA: 3.78

GPA Total: 7.78

I also have 3 considerations:

Previous Degree: 0.5
12+ hours of Science at UTA: 0.5
30+ hours overall at UTA: 0.5

Total score into the program is: 9.28

Also finished my TEAS with overall an 84%. I studied with Khan Academy and TEAS test prep which helped alot.

Good luck to everyone!!!!!!! >_<

I feel like you have a great chance of getting in for on campus!

when It comes to on campus, they really just look at our composite scores! my advisor @ Uta said to shoot for anything over a 7.5 ?

oh my god you just made my day!! I have been so stressed about it but now I definitely feel better and less stressed.

Does anyone know if UTA accepts online labs courses for the program?

Hello! Does anyone know how the AO program works for out of state people? Like how do you do clinicals?

Thanks!

Hi, my wife is currently in the online NP program and we live in Southern California. I want to find out what hospital systems UTA has relationships with here to send their students to for their clinicals.

Hi!

I'll be applying for Spring 2020 AO, as well. I have taken my TEAS and completed all of the requirements on the checklist. Now, just to apply and wait! I'm so excited to be getting that much closer!

My only consideration is that I am partnered.

Overall GPA: 3.655

Science GPA: 3.75

Total Points= 7.405

Fingers crossed I'll be good to go!

"partnered" is not a consideration but you will get IN before somebody with exact same score or slightly higher who is not partnered.....

you've heard that for online or on campus? my advisor told me to shoot for anything over 7.5 to be in a good position to be selected. a lot of my friends from on campus got in with high 7's.

with 9+ you ve a got a pretty high score...I d bet you ll be IN ...fro this fall a classmate girl that i know got accepted with upper 7, after being waitlisted for 2 months....

Do we have to have the 3 Nursing classes complete before applying to On-Campus?

I have no additional considerations but have 4.0 in science courses and Prerequisites ( taking technical writing this coming fall)
