UTA Spring 2012

Hey everyone, I started a new thread in the TX Nursing Programs forum, UTA FALL 2012 for those of us wait listed and denied Spring 2012 admissions. There was so much great information, I thought it might be good to start a new one for those of us who might need to reapply or for newbies who are looking for info related to their application period. Anyway, hope everyone finds their way to it....

Has anyone taken pharm final yet?!

For those of you in the UTA online AP BSN program, how do you feel about the UTA Fall 2011 Pharmacology Final Exam? There were not too many questions from our tests at all as the instructor led me to believe. I do not know where some of the questions that were supposedly from our old test came from. I am so afraid to see my Final Exam grade.

How many of you feel the same way I do?

Yeah...that exam took me almost the entire 2.5 hours. It was intense for sure. I'm hoping that possibly some questions will be thrown out...

That was a very hard final, and was not at all like I expected it to be like. I studied really hard for it, and felt like I had not studied at all. There were not too many questions from our old tests. I do not know where the other questions came from that were not the new material.

It was definitely hard...which is why I'm going to calm my nerves with an adult beverage in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1....

I received a rejection letter for the Spring 2012 semester, and I do not know if I am going to apply at UTA or not. I live in an area with 2 hospitals, but UTA does not partner with either one. I wish I would have known just how important it is to be partnered with a hospital. I am in my early 50's and do not have all the time in the world to waste! Will keep on trucking and apply to other places. This all depends on my pharmacology Fall 2011 online Final Exam I just took. I do not feel good about it, and feel that the professor mislead me, and I am sure others about how all the questions would come from our old tests, plus the new material.

SO thankful that Pharm final is over...whoohoo!! There were about 25 old questions from what I counted and a lot of new info questions...I had a feeling that there were going to be very few old questions just because someone on here a while back posted that their test didn't have any old questions so I thought it might be a pretty tough test...and it was...haha!!

Now I'm just ready for the grades to be released...c'mon already!!...good luck everyone!! :)

I agree with all of you on the Pharm final! What a mess!

I will tell you - I was very, VERY direct and pointed about my student survey. I realize that it will do little to help us, but if we can help others coming behind us...that would be just as good. If you haven't already completed your course survey, I emplore you to be direct and honest about the course. The results are annonymous and she will not get them until ALL grades are posted.

I know some of you are not reapplying to UTA - but please feel free to join in on the UTA FALL 2012 discussion board... I am limited to UTA due to my job, exhausted student loans and needing an evening/weekend program - otherwise I would join you all in applying to other schools!

NOTOLA - keep your chin up...am not far behind you in the years, but I know someone who went to nursing school at 55 and is now a Director at our facility...so keep the faith - you can do this!
