UTA Spring 2012

Alas! Here I go again!;) This thread is dedicated to all hopefuls to either of the programs- AP or traditional. Let's partake in the sharing of ideas, suggestions, and/or insight in the "intricacies" of this nursing program. Former grads, new or current students are encouraged to chat.     Thanks everyone! Retail therapy did the trick and I will be back to working on maintaining my goal of eventually getting in...I guess i was naive to think it would not be hard to get in. I thought i had planned for everything... EXCEPT being denied. lol And it is helpful to be able to air out feelings on here where everyone understands.

    Congrats to every one who was accepted and those who were wait listed. For the rest of us eventually we will prevail!

    Congrats to everyone that got in AND are on the waitlist! I got my denial letter today, but was already expecting it. Even though I have a 4.0 at UTA my science GPA is a 3.25 because I took them 15 years ago when I wasn't exactly a "focused" student. Haha! Oh well, I had already registered for A&PI and Micro to retake them in the Spring anyway....and I am not partnered, so that's the second strike against me.

    As far as the Pharm final goes...make sure you also look at the "course schedule" or whatever it's called. She has a side note next to week 9 that says "Test questions from module 13, chapter 40 and 42, as well as asthma, allergies, cough and cold, will be on the final- see final exam blueprint." We were never tested over these chapters and module so this is extra studying on top of the 5 exams. I confirmed with Ms Todd that these will be on the exam. I am guessing that the asthma, allergies, cough, and cold stuff comes from chapters 36 and 37 but I haven't had confirmation of this yet. This course has had enough surprises already, so I didn't want any of you to not be as prepared as possible.
