UTA Spring 2012

That is odd, my nursing concepts professor just announced today that they had just finished ranking traditional applicants and wld be finishing online by tomorrow.. but whatever at least someone has gotten a letter and a acceptance one at that. I am so not going to be able to sleep!!!

i double checked my mail.. no letter...lol OMG! i was expecting end of this week.. i was going to go to library to study but looks like i will study from home to stalk the mailman..

Congrats lad! My gpa's are similiar, so that does give me some hope. Did you meet any of the requirements for the special considerations? My last name starts with a 'W', so my letter will probably be one of the last ones mailed :/

Hi there! I just sent in my application for the Jan 2012 AP-BSN start date. I am currently taking my pre-reqs through the AP program online via UTA. I've been happy with the classes overall and it sure is convenient. I have three small kids and work from home.

Reading about the difficultly of getting in for the Fall 2011 start date has me nervous. So far, all A's in my sciences (I'm wrapping up A&P 1 and Micro now). All I'll have left is A&P 2 in June and Patho/Pharmacology in Sept.

I am really glad I found this page and everyone's posts.. I am considering switching to the AP program to finish my pre reqs. I have talked to my advisor and some AP people but they dont really seem to answer all of my questions. Do you recommend taking online pre reqs? I do not know what to expect from this program.

For me, the online classes have been great. There is not too much direction though, so you have to be able to somewhat teach yourself the concepts with information provided. It's definitely ideal with working and small kids.

Reading all this makes me anxious for today's mail. I applied to both programs. I was second on the APBSN waitlist for fall and didn't get in. At that point I was unpartnered. Not anymore! Good luck to everyone!

I know. My husband decided to play hooky from work today thinking I would get my letter. But at least I get a nice lunch today.. lol I am just trying to prepare myself for either outcome - acceptance or denial...
