UTA Spring 2010

Is anyone out there applying at UTA for the spring? I was wondering, if we are asked to interview, what month would that be? and does anyone know when they send out their final decision? Also, what goes on in the interview? Any tips? pls?

hey, I took pharm online, and yes it was reallllllly hard since the final was cumulative. Is yours cumulative as well? I was lucky that my other grades were way higher than what I made on the final. But in all honesty, I didn't spend much time reviewing what I had learned all semester; I spent most of my time learning the new material that was going to be on the final. I should have spent more time reviewing the old stuff. My final was 75 questions, and we had 1.5 mins to answer each question (since it was online). Good luck you guys! If you have any more questions, let me know!

yes ours is cumulative and its 94 questions, we have 30 questions that are from new content. I started studying over thanksgiving break lol I made a plan for each section so I think I will do good on the final...I hope! Wow they gave you 1.5 min to answer each question ahhhhh @ least it was 75 ours is 94 questions!!! :crying2:

dang. that's a lot (94 questions)! We only had 19 questions from new content.

btw, I had a chance to see the lightweight littman, and the end of it is not plastic; it's just made out of a light metal. So I will most likely be getting that one (95% sure). My mom has two friends who have been in nursing for over 20 years, and they both recommended that one. Also, they said that people steal them all the time, so they advised to not spend a lot of $$.

misspink86,

im really not sure the exact grade in need to get on the final, everytime i do calculations i end up with a different answer but I believe i need around a 62 to maintain a C in the class. How did you calculate 490 points?

you can do it Ayeisha. I feel bad for the people who need to make over a 90.....but the goal is still reachable they just have to study their butts off!!!!

Well I just calculated 490 divided by 7. Because we will have seven grades she is going to calculate to see if we meet the weighted average of a 70. So she will calculate Quiz 1,2,3 & Exam 1,2,3 & 4 these points need to be over a 490. Then divide 490 by 7 and it will equal a 70 on the dot! Then she will add in our blog project grade if our exams/quizzes are a 70% or higher.

As of now we can only calculate Exam 1,2,3 & Quizzes 1,2 & 3. Then whatever points you get subtract it by 490 & then you know what you need to make on the final :)

it's ok! I didn't get mine in the mail yet, but maybe it came in yesterday's mail, which I have not gone to get. Good luck on yalls finals misspink and ayeisha! I have mine on Saturday morning, but have the option of taking it Friday.

I'm not applying for the spring but I am for the Fall. I was wondering about the prereq courses. I noticed it requires concepts of professional nursing? Any idea if thats offered at local community colleges?

you have to take that class at UTA as well as pharm and patho, unless you have pre-approval from an advisor to take it elsewhere.
