UTA Spring 2010

Is anyone out there applying at UTA for the spring? I was wondering, if we are asked to interview, what month would that be? and does anyone know when they send out their final decision? Also, what goes on in the interview? Any tips? pls?

yeah I know, I wish are advisors could just tell us! Im sure they already know...

i was trying to get any kind of facial expression that might have indicated i got in or not. the way he was talking though it seemed like he kept trying to gear me to think about what to do next if i dont get in. so yea that kind of got me thinking negatively :crying2:

no ayeisha!!! don't think negatively. Maybe he is required to say that as part of his job. You guys all had 4.0 Science GPAs. How is that possible that you wouldn't get in (as long as your non-science GPA is decent)? and you all had high HESI scores right?

Who brought up what to do if you didn't get in? was it him or you?

Going to check the mail now...

The mail man has not come yet. He is running behind! Will post when I find out, either way.

Nothing from UTA in my mailbox :(

nothing from UTA in my mailbox either! I feel so sick about this.

I called my advisor to ask about when they will be mailed out. She didn't pick up, so I left a message. I'll let you know what she says.

thanks for the encouragement goopsy. yea he was the one that brought up the subject ow happens next if you dont get in but im sure thats just part of his job. ive heard from a couple of students that letters werent sent out until today so i guess all i can do is wait patiently like ive been doing.

Yah, well, hopefully those students who you talked to were right and they were mailed today. I would blow off what he said; it's just his job! All I can do is wait like I have been. I can't say patiently like you since I have not been the least bit patient, lol. One. more. day...(hopefully)

GOOD NEWS: My advisor called me back. She said the letters WERE MAILED TODAY and she confirmed it. She said depending on the mail man, it would be Friday or Saturday when we got them. I'm praying tomorrow, but I'm thinking Friday is more realistic. I told her I was just ready to find out since it's been so long; she agreed. I tried to read her voice, but couldn't tell anything either. Atleast we know now. She asked if I had already been stalking the mail man. I told her yes lol.

lol your funnny goopsy :) I wish I could be patient too! Its been soooo long since we turned in our apps! At school thats all anyone is talking about is those letters lol Well Ayeisha you'll be the first to know out of all of us since you get your mail first!

yea i know misspink86 and it looks like the mail man has been coming even earlier than usual. like today when my dad called me, it was only like 10:30 and the mail had already come! i really need to find out if i can drop a class so im prayin they come by tomorrow or friday.

yes, I hope so too! I'm just so glad that my advisor called me back and told me they were mailed out today, as I mentioned earlier. Atleast we know now. I wish my mailman came that early!! Today, he didn't even come till 3pm! I went first at 12:30, then at 2pm, then at 3pm. Finally, at 3 he was there stocking the mailboxes.
