UTA Fall 2013

I thought I would start a thread for those applying to UTA for Fall 2013; AP or on-campus. I will be applying to both and am hoping to find a job at a partnered hospital before the January 5, 2012 deadline.

Are any of you applying to any ADN programs? I am a transfer student with no considerations so I have less change of getting into UTA's. I'm deciding if I should just keep applying until I get in or take the ADN route.

I have also applied to TCC.

Thank you! I've been studying like crazy, but I feel like there is so much to know.

Skipping the ADN route since most area hospitals are looking to hire BsN only. Or so I hear :)

Do we have to wait for our Patho exams to be graded in order to see them in our gradebook? The suspense is killing me.

I think it is the same 48 hour deal as with assignments. It is quite irritating.

They could show us our score without revealing what we got right/wrong. I don't get it.

I applied to el centro but I actually just accepted my acceptance to Baylor's fastbacc today. I'm just taking the Intro to nursing for funsies now lol. I would have had one consideration and with all the rules over how many classes you can retake/ how many times you can retake a class my gpa was sort of frozen in one spot for UTA. So if I hadn't gotten into baylor or UTA I would have definitely gone the ADN route. You can always get your BSN eventually, it's obviously cheaper, and probably a bit more room to work while in the program. So if it didn't work out to get my BSN right away I would have started the ADN route over waiting.

Yeah, if I don't get accepted into a BSN program and I do to an ADN I am going to just do ADN. I rather do that than wait. Most hospitals will pay for you to get your ADN-BSN as well. So I might take that route.

I just saw that! Got a 97!!!! SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW. But I am behind this week (flu.) Can't wait for this class to be over. I'm a ball of stress right now. lol.

Violach, maybe we should be study partners. I didn't do as well as you. :( I think I over analyzed a few of the first questions and then felt rushed to finish.

Now I have to switch gears and start preparing for our Pharm test. There is just sooo much info to cover on one test.

I am trying to get all my other stuff done by tomorrow so i can concentrate on pharm for a few days. i am lost in that class. I'm beginning to think pharm and patho should have been taken separately. Patho isn't requiring near as much time as pharm; 10 chapters in 2 weeks is pretty intense.
