USC new grad program 2012

Which hospital? I know LAC+USC is not having a new grad program this year from what I heard. I did my Leadership rotation there.

I went to a job fair and the USC rep said that new grad openings will be posted on October 1. So far, I haven't seen anything on New grad positions on the website, but it will probably be up sometime soon.

First of all, let me say thank you for your replies! It is comforting knowing I was not THE only one wondering. The program I was referring to is for the USC University Hospital and Norris Cancer center. If I hear of anything, I will let you know.

I believe in May of this year, when the post appeared it had "new grad" in the job title - something to indicate clearly that it was related to the residency program. But how strange that there is not even a flyer to announce the upcoming dates?

hi all,

i called USC's HR and he said that as of today, they are still unsure as to when the RN Residency is going to be posted up or if it will even be posted up. Basically, they are still unsure if they will even open up their 2012 new grad program. Yikes! He said the best thing to do is keep checking their website, especially the usc nurses one and keep an eye out for updates. Hope that helps!

i saw in a facebook group that USC had been accepting applications oct. 1-14 for the march 2012 cohort. apparently USC had not changed their website to reflect the application dates. too bad i missed this opportunity...

Yes, Oct. 1-14 was USC's "anticipatory" dates for accepting applications for new grads. However, during that time they did NOT accept any applications b/c they didn't even open it up, which is why it is not reflected on their website, as well as why no one was able to see the job title "new graduate" on the job search page. So, technically we all did not miss this opportunity. They are still determining if they will accept new grads this time around. I hope this makes sense, as this is my understanding of USC's situation after calling HR 3 times.

No problem! I know, it was pretty confusing especially because they were advertising Oct 1-14. Let's just hope that they do decide to make a cohort of new grads this time around. The HR person said to just keep checking on the "usc nurses" page for any updates. Good luck! :)

does usc have a gpa requirement?
