USA Fall 2015

Has anyone applied to South Alabama's Fall 2015 program? I applied to the FNP program. I see from other threads that Nursing CAS recalculates your GPA (usually lower than expected). I can't figure out how to see their GPA calculation. Is anyone else able to see this?

Thanks and good luck to everyone!

USA is approved for NC MSN clinical programs.

I believe it's just the DNP clinical decision for NC they are waiting on.

So frustrating! I was accepted at Texas Tech (my #1 choice) but I'm still very curious as to if I got in at USA. (I was accepted 2 months after they rejected me, I guess someone didn't accept their spot.) Seeing this application process, I can't imagine the frustration of finals, and worse... waiting on them to submit documents for licensure! If I hadn't heard from Texas Tech I'd a been a mess by now. The doc I'm going to do clinicals with is exceptionally brilliant but impatient! There are interns and residents at my hospital that would kill for the chance to follow him! Someone could've taken my spot by now! Sorry to hear you guys are still in limbo.

I'm enrolled at USA for the PMHNP program. I start my clinicals in August. Congrats to those who got in but be prepared for a bumpy ride. USA is constantly changing things and if you ask 5 different questions you will get 5 different answers.

I emailed them yesterday. No response still. I'll post asap if I get a response.

I talked to someone yesterday and they told me because of the high volume of applicants, it is taking longer than expected. Then I also got the same, "about 2 weeks" time frame for the letters to be mailed out...

I just called this afternoon and was told that the plan as of now is that letters will be mailed out the week of July 6.

Okay this is freaking ridiculous. It has gotten pushed back every single time. This makes me not even want to go anymore

Forget this. Im done. Going to suck it up, wait a year and go to my local school.

I just received this email (I did not email them first)

Dear Applicant to Fall 2015 MSN Program,

This email is to inform you we were unable to process the fall applications in the time originally scheduled; therefore, you have not yet received our decision letter regarding admission to the MSN program for Fall 2015. We anticipate these decision letters will be mailed out by July 8, 2015; however we are trying our best to send them out sooner. Usually we only send out a decision letter via the US Postal Service but this time we will also email everyone to let you know our decision. We appreciate your patience and apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you.

Did anyone else get this email? I don't see it in my inbox
