Jan 10, 20224 yr I had this issue as well. I emailed UPENN and haven't heard back yet. However, I didn't want to change it and mess up my other applications that needed the graduate status.
Jan 11, 20224 yr All your schools receive each and every FAFSA edit u make. U can submit your schools as graduate, then submit and once u receive back a confirmation that it was verified u can resubmit it as 5th year graduate and it doesn’t affect the other schools. Each school basically sees all submissions and uses the one that applies. I called FAFSA and that’s what they told me and I emailed upenn and Columbia and they all confirmed it.
Jan 11, 20224 yr Thank you! I guess I'll submit that change. I wish they did a drop down menu for each school.

I just submitted mine with those changes
Jan 11, 20224 yr Ya no problem! A couple of us were all talking about it last month in the Columbia MDE forum and we all called to confirm. It's all super confusing so I even email both schools to confirm! It'll all process but because we submitted it after the deadline if we were to get accepted our financial aid information won't come at the same time. It will just come a little later...
Jan 12, 20224 yr Hey, I heard we should receive notification for acceptance by the end of January. I’m scared. I chose Midwifery as a specialist. What about everyone else?

Jan 12, 20224 yr I have a lot of experience working with pregnant families and doing centering under a Midwife. I am also a birth and postpartum doula. However, my undergraduate degree GPA is low but my prerequisites are good. So IDK How about you?

Jan 13, 20224 yr Has anyone heard back yet? I got an acceptance email from the MSN at Johns Hopkins today. I applied to the BSN-MSN Women's Health/Gender Related. Did anyone else apply to Hopkins as well? I don't have any nursing background, majored in psych with a 3.8 undergrad, 4.0 pre-requisites, and work experience in social work. Anyone that looked at both Upenn and hopkins, any thoughts about the two programs? My pro con list is pretty long, but obviously, I have to get into Penn in the first place in order to decide between them.

I havent heard from UPenn yet but had my interview with Yale a couple days ago. I applied to Penn's Neonatal Nurse Practitioner program and majored in Public Health Sciences at UC Irvine, 3.8 GPA, 4.0 prereqs, 2 years as an urgent care medical assistant, L&D and postpartum intern, & do clinical epidemiology research at my university. If I get accepted to both, my plan is to also make a pro/con list but also I think finances will sadly be a driving factor for my decision! Hopefully well hear back this week or next week?

I'm in the same boat, but still waiting for decisions from Yale and Vanderbilt. I like that UPenn includes the BSN and you end as an NP in your specialty, whereas you have to continue on into the DNP program at Hopkins.
A thread for BSN-MSN 2022 applicants ?
