Hello all.

I was wondering if any Canadian nurses are doing online degrees at the University of Pheonix? Or do you know anyone who has? Is it widely accepted in Canada as an "accredited" degree?

Their program for the BSN? Is that what you are talking about?

Thank you for that. Have you taken any of their programs? Are you a nurse in Canada?

I am currently in the UK and am able to verify accredited universities. Is there a similar system in Canada?

The Univerisity of Pheonix is quite expensive and I would hate to have spent all that money and find that it is not accepted for further study.

There is not a similar program that I know of in Canada. Are you already a UK RN that is wishing to continue your education or start from the beginning with them?

They were not around when I attended nursing school. :specs: I have my MBA from them, and was under discussions with them about getting a PhD there while I was living and working overseas. Have not had the time since returning to the US. Many, many of my friends have gotten their BSNs and MSNs there. But they were already licensed as an RN in the US.

Is your goal to work in the US or Canada? If you can offer more information, then I can offer more information.

What exactly are you trying to do?

I have a friend from U of Vic who got her BSN distance and is working on her MSN.

I still am not sure if your talking BSN?
