*UNEMPLOYED NURSES*

Ello~

I'm just curious to know, for those of you who are unemployed nurses, exactly how long have you been looking for work? What are you (LPN,RN,BSN-RN,MSN-NP,etc.) How many previous years of experience do you have? Where are you located? How many applications do you think you have placed? What about interviews? Add anything else that you want! Vent, tell us how you REALLY feel, give your opinions/outlooks on everything.

Searching for 7 months. Discouraged to say the least I have found pool home health jobs but they pay nothing. I want a hospital job and am applying as a traveler. Sad when hospitals sell out to save money but that is the way it is now.

How can you apply travel jobs if you don't have experience?

The only people from my cohort who don't have a job six months after graduation are those who only want to work in hospitals, specific specialties, or can't relocate.

I can search because I have been an Rn for 15 years and have 14 + years of experience, I was working until I was laid off and have been working pool as stated above. I am frustrated because no one around me is hiring yet they will take travelers, I think it may be my age.
